EDWARD & BETTY ANDERSON founded their family business together in September of 1976. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where his focus was in advertising design and Graphic Communications. In addition, Ed has been certified by the State of California as an offset lithographer and is well versed in the printing arts. He has also taught advertising graphics and photography at Hartnell Jr. College in Salinas, Calif. and advertising & marketing classes at the Monterey Peninsula Community College. In addition, Betty holds an Associate of Arts Degree in the Liberal Arts from Pasadena City College and has been working as a Customer Support Specialist since 1962, taking time off in between to nurture and raise two boys. Ed & Betty bring more than 33 years experience to their company in the Direct Mail & Printing Industries.

Automated Mailing Service opened its doors in the fall of 1976 in order to fill a need to local and regional businesses for a full-line mail advertising production and processing service, for there was none like it between Santa Barbara and San Jose. Today, AMS now provides expert services in Data Processing, Direct Mail and Print production to local and tri-county businesses and non-profit organizations as well as companies from all parts of California and the Nation.

Ed & Betty feel very blessed to have been able to live and grow their family here on the Monterey Peninsula and equally blessed to have made so many, many friends and patrons over the years that have supported them. To add to this joy, Ed & Betty's oldest son, Jason has joined the family business and is working hard to see AMS grow to its next generation.
